Usually bands promised to be the next big thing are unoriginal and not overly great. I am happy to say that I have found an exception to this rule. Number One Son are an incredible live band with a suprisingly well rounded and mellow new album, Lessons.

Despite currently being on a huge UK tour, lead guitarist J was sweet enough to find time to answer a few questions.

Vicki: Do you think the long promised Guns 'n' Roses' album actually exists?

J Wadeson: Yes, but only in space.

V: What is your favourite TV dectective series?

J: Starsky and Hutch. They had the best clothes and car!

Jay, spelt 'J'.

V: What would you sell your soul for?

J: A suck on Christina Applegate's tits.

V: If you could be any origami animal what would you be?

J: A duck bill platypus A dragon.

V: Continuing the theme, what is your favourite farm animal?

J: Duck

V: Do you eat cereal?

J: Yes, through choice weetabix or crunchy nut cornflakes.

V: Care to recommend a book?

J: Small things by Rich Hall and Magnus by John Fowles. V: What stupid stuff do you have on your rider?

J: A poster of Elvis to be put on dressing room wall at every venue - we love The King!

V: What is your favourite Transformer?

J: Optimus Prime - obviously!

V: Would you vote for Arnie?

J: Yes - just to keep him from making shit films!

V: Do rock stars still exist?

J: Yes, we met and played with Lemmy last year - Motorhead rock!

V: What are your Halloween plans?

J: Usual stuff, bobbing for apples.

V: Have you ever watched Red Dwarf?

This isn't really J. I think!

J: Obviously - I star in it when I'm not busy.

V: Do you have any tattoos?

J: Both Dave (bassist) and I are as pure as the driven snow. Nic (vocals), Tiger (drummer) and Andy (guitar) have various tattoos.

V: Which is more appealing, legs or breasts?

J: BREASTS.

BREASTS!

V: Have you guys had many freaky fans? I hear you have two tour stalkers in the crowd tonight.

J: We have lots of really freaky fans. One asked me for one sock! Why not the pair?

V: Probably an unwise question to ask a touring band, but what sort of relationship do you have with porn?

J: We prefer to think of it as a modern art form.
