The Arcades are an up and coming rock and roll band - a real one for a change - who seem to be nice boys with scary sideburns.

Vicki: What's the first record you remember having owned?
Vinny: My first record was Grand Master Flash: The Message. I didn't buy it, someone gave it to me. I had to hide it from my mum as there was plenty of swearing in the song.
Liam (the polecat): Dire Straits' Brothers in arms. I think it was a hand-me-down from my dad.

Vicki: What is your favourite TV dectective series?
Vinny: I don't know about detective series but I like Dirty Harry...... "I know what you're thinkin' punk: did I fire six shots or five? And to be honest, in all this excitement, I kinda forgotten myself, but you have to ask yourself a question: do ya feel lucky, punk? Well, do ya?"
Liam: I didn't watch any detective TV series apart from Murder she wrote with Angela Landsbury, who looks like my landlady - I hear her typewriter in the middle of the night.

Vicki: What would you sell your soul for?
Vinny: To see England win the Euro championships in Portugal. Oh, and yes, of course, rock'n'roll.
Liam: A Rickenbacker bass on my own island with a large bowl of grass - man!

Vicki: If you could be any origami animal what would you be?
Vinny: A porcupine, then no-one could pick me up. I know that's my worst answer but I couldn't think of anything else!
Liam:I'd be a polecat, of course!

Vicki: How do you want your funeral to be conducted?
Vinny: By the London Philharmonic Orchestra, accompanied by Deep Purple.
Liam: That's scary shit! I would have Joe Cocker with A little from my friends playing in the background, with polecats everywhere.

Vicki: Care to recommend a book?
Vinny: Please kill me - book about precursor to punk (or what the Americans thought!)
Liam: Hi Fidelity by Nick Hornby. No, hang on.. The little prince by.. ummm, I forget.

Vicki: Who was the coolest Transformer?
Vinny: The one that was a robot in disguise - I didn't really watch that I was too busy chasing girls around the playground and eating coal.
Liam: This is before my time - I'm still young. The blue one.

Vicki: What is the most desirable part of the human body?
Vinny: From a stranded-in-the-mountains-rugby-team-type desire I'd have to say the thigh, given there's plenty of meat. You wouldn't want to be left with a finger now, would you?
Liam:The solar plexus. Because it's.. umm.. because it sounds cool.

Vicki: Have you acquired many freaky fans?
Liam: Loads, but we have one that's designed a website thingy for us - 'Sugar Bee'. I think she's a lesbian but I still haven't worked her out.

Vicki: Would you ever go onstage in drag?
Vinny: No, but our bass player does every week!
Liam: Yes. In an angels costume with my bollocks hanging out!

Vicki: Are there any bands that you would happy never hear again?
Vinny: Too many to list; I would like to see most of the shit that's in the charts get eaten by a large killer custard doughnut.
Liam: Busted need busting up. Franz Ferdinand springs to mind.

Vicki: How would you describe your music?
Vinny: British rock'n'roll with a mystic hard edge packed with loganberry jam - ripe, raw and driving a massive hole straight through the heart of a marshall amp!
Liam: Ooh now this is a tuffy - it's like European discotheque, but not at all if you know what I mean. ROCK.
